The celebration of an engagement is a magical and romantic experience in a couple’s life. I believe this should be a time for couples to relax and look forward to celebrating their commitment to each other on their special day. The run-up to your wedding can be an exciting time, for many couples there are lots of things to think about, which can seem a little overwhelming at times.

Planning my own wedding has inspired me to set up Butterflies, as I can fully appreciate how much time and energy it takes to create the wedding of your dreams. At the time of our wedding, we had also decided to create our own venue for our ceremony, which is now a licensed venue. (Please see The Woodland Shelter Wedding Venue page for more details) I feel this has given me additional experience in creating and co-ordinating a wedding venue. I also hold a Diploma in Wedding Planning, which has given me the knowledge and experience of planning and organising weddings.
